ANNOUNCER: First up, Robert visits with Apple Valley Restorative and Cosmetic Dentist Dr. Dennis Simmons. Dr. Simmons discusses how Robert’s smile has affected his life.
DR. DENNIS SIMMONS: Robert shared with me his concerns about he didn’t think that his total personality and his communication with others was there and he could be open with it. His smile was such that he withheld himself as a person, and he didn’t communicate as well, and he didn’t have the affect that he wanted with other people. When you see Robert next, what we’re going to see is an evened out smile. We’re going to see that the teeth have the proper contours, youthful contours, not the worn off square look that gives everybody the aged look. When Tammy first came to see me, she literally was super gluing some of her teeth back in her mouth so that she had somewhat of a smile. If you look at her she hides her smile. She was very distraught about her smile. She didn’t even feel like she could be a mother in communication with her children because she felt so bad about her smile. Teeth that she’s missing are going to be replaced. The teeth that are broken down are going to be fixed. Her teeth—the color of her teeth is going to be completely rejuvenated. We’re going to feminize the look of her front teeth to give her a nice feminine look. And we’re going to be able to give her an ability to sit down with her children and her family and her friends and smile.
ANNOUNCER: When we come back, Robert and Tammy see their new smile for the first time.
DR. SIMMONS: Oh, now you’ve got to smile more.
