Invisalign® Q & A

What is Invisalign®?

Invisalign® is a state-of-the-art orthodontic treatment that straightens your teeth with a series of clear plastic aligners.

Invisalign has grown into a widely popular alternative to traditional metal braces, with over 6 million happy smiles worldwide.

How Does Invisalign® Work?

Invisalign® has clear plastic aligners, made from an impression of your smile, that are designed to exert gradual pressure on your teeth. You wear your retainers all day, every day, taking them out only when you need to brush, floss, or eat.

Over time, the pressure gently pushes your teeth into your desired alignment, finally giving you your dream smile.

How Do I Get Started With Invisalign®?

Our orthodontists in Minnesota start by taking an impression of your smile with an intraoral camera. They upload that impression into a computer, which creates a virtual model of your smile. Your virtual smile is then manipulated to calculate all of the “steps” needed to shift your teeth into proper alignment.

Those “steps” are then turned into clear, plastic aligners that fit snugly on your teeth and progressively push them toward their target alignment. You wear your aligners for at least 22 hours every day and switch over to the next set in your series every two weeks.

How Do I Get Started With Invisalign®?

Compared with traditional metal braces, Invisalign® is:

Comfortable

Your aligners are made of smooth, flexible, plastic, not rough and pointy metal, so you don’t have to worry about tearing up the inside of your cheeks.

Convenient

Your aligners are removable, so you don’t have to change your diet or learn new techniques for brushing and flossing as you do with braces. Simply pop out your aligners when you need to brush, floss, or eat, and pop them back in afterward.

Discreet

Your aligners are clear and virtually invisible on your smile, so nobody will know you’re getting orthodontic treatment unless you tell them. Gone are the days of the “mouthful of metal” look!

Fastbraces®

Fastbraces®

Are you looking for a fast way to straighten your teeth that doesn’t involve wearing traditional braces for years? If so, Dennis Simmons, DDS, and his associates, at Brite Smiles Dental Care in Apple Valley, Minnesota, provide Fastbraces® or Fastbraces® ClearTM as safe and effective ways to straighten your teeth and give you a picture-perfect smile. Fastbraces® Q & A

What are Fastbraces®?

Fastbraces® is a fast, effective, and affordable alternative to traditional braces. Fastbraces® uses its revolutionary technology to straighten your teeth.

Traditional braces move your teeth into position in two stages, usually taking at least two years. The first stage helps move the crown of your tooth into alignment. The second stage addresses the position of the root of your tooth.

With the unique Fastbraces® design, the crown and root of your tooth move simultaneously, reducing your overall treatment time to 3-12 months. If you don’t want to have metallic braces, Fastbraces® also offers clear ceramic brackets. Regardless of the Fastbraces® option you choose, they both offer the same technological advantages of moving your teeth.

What Problems Can Fastbraces® Correct?

Fastbraces® is proven effective for:

  • Overbites
  • High canines
  • Crowding
  • Open bites
  • Crossbites
  • Spacing issues

To determine if Fastbraces® is suitable to straighten your teeth, contact Brite Smiles Dental Care today.

Do I Have To Wear A Retainer After My Treatment?

After you finish your Fastbraces® treatment, you can maintain your new smile by wearing a retainer for only 15 minutes a day.

This is one of the best benefits Fastbraces® provides since traditional braces require you to wear a retainer for the majority of the day for up to a year after the braces come off.

What Is The Difference Between Fastbraces® And Traditional Braces?

While Fastbraces® and traditional braces both provide you with a beautiful smile, there are noteworthy differences.

Fastbraces® require only one wire throughout the entirety of your treatment. Traditional braces tend to be more complex and involve multiple wires.

Also, Fastbraces® uses triangular brackets, while traditional braces use square brackets. The triangular design makes the process a lot quicker than traditional ones.

If you want to straighten your teeth, but don’t want to wear traditional braces for years, then Fastbraces® might be the perfect option for you. Contact Brite Smiles Dental Care or book your orthodontic treatment online.
